Here at Abakhan we have over 1,000 dressmaking fabrics to choose from ranging from sheer, lightweight chiffons and georgettes in prints and plains, through to functional work wear denim, drills and twills, available in both plains and prints such as the traditional chef’s check and harlequin designs.

Printed fabrics include many designs such as animal, floral, traditional, kiddie, novelty and vintage and can be used for all kinds of clothing as well as theatrical, and stage wear. Poly cotton ginghams come in two different check sizes and a range of colours suited to school uniforms, cafe curtains and tablecloths. Polka dots and stripes are also available in a range of coordinating colours.

Our ranges of plains come in many different compositions and have many end uses. We have lightweight, breathable fabrics for sportswear, bi-stretch, poly cottons, linens and cords which are suitable for clothing or soft furnishings, PVC, metallic stretch, foils, sequins and sparkles for theatrical use, spandex suitable for both dancewear and swimwear, and a range of 100% silk dupion ideally suited to bridal wear.

Our Satins include budget ranges for everyday use along with ranges which are perfect for bridal, evening and occasion wear which include duchess, shantung, taffeta, satin backed crepe and dupion. Our antistatic 100% polyester dress lining is available in almost 30 shades to complement the range of fabrics we have available. Dress net, tulle and veiling is also available in over 50 different colour ways.
