A Big thank you to Gok Wan who featured our fringing on ITV's This Morning

It was a fabulous surprise to find out that Abakhan were featured in Gok Wan's live demonstration 'Masterclass in fringing' on ITV's This Morning episode on Tuesday 21st April. Gok was demonstrating how you can customise your own clothes 'DIY style', and featured our very own Beaded Fringe White with Gold!!!

Fringing is definitely one of this seasons biggest trends, so make sure you watch Gok show us how to fashion our fringes and tussle our tassels.

A big thanks to Gok Wan and all at ITV's This morning!!

Amazing amazing Secret Sale

We had a great day with our golden ticket -thank you . Best get sewing, Lisa.

Fantastic time, thank you so much for the invite, Willowwears.

We had a great day!! Defiantly be making the 4 hour round trip to see you all again soon!!! Alison X

Was definitely worth the wait. I have just got home and gone through my goodies. I'm very pleasantly surprised, I've really got some good bargains, Pam.

What a fab day! Arrived early and left after 3! Lots of new fabric and bits and bobs ready to get sewing! Every single member of staff at Mostyn was lovely! Would recommend a visit! Alison.

Well done Abakhan all the staff rushed off their feet and not one grumpy face amongst them going out of their way to help thank you all. ( ps got loads of bargains) Karen.

Amazing amazing sale, thank you so much, staff were fantastic, each one a credit to Abakhan, helpful, courteous, friendly, efficient, especially given how hectic and busy it was. We loved our day, thrilled with our bargains, and over the moon that we were lucky to get a golden ticket, bacon butty and chocolate desert was also delicious.

Had a fantastic day at the sale and came home with some fantastic bargains! Yes it was very busy but the staff coped very well in my opinion and were friendly and helpful throughout. I think it was a good "first try" and am hoping you do another one at some point special thanks to the guy in the warehouse (Paul?) who carried 4 chairs to my car for me. He was very kind and helpful, Laura.

I do not think they could have anticipated the fantastic turn out. We were told it was the first time they had done this (I hope it's not the last)perhaps next time they will limit the tickets and perhaps have it over a couple of Days, Rosemary.

We had a great day. Yes, the queue was long but that was because they were controlling the numbers so there wasn't a scrum! Saved 15% on everything and then got extra bargains later in the Secret Sale, avoided the queue by going in later as I can't stand for long, Lynn.

I heard yesterday morning. Set off without a ticket at 12:30. Traveled over 100 miles. Bought some bits. Bargains. Very pleased with the event x x hope you do them in Preston and Manchester soon, Mandie x

Me and my daughter queued for 2 and a half hours but was worth it we got some great bargains for ourselves and other family members, came home with a car full of stuff, hope you will be doing more secret sales in the future.Andrea

Abakhan addict

Hi David, don't worry about it, it was more to let you know that there was a potential issue with some of the bags. I'm not that concerned about returning it, as I said below I'm currently housebound so couldn't get to a post office but predominantly I have always had brilliant service and fantastic quality of items so I'm sure that this was just an anomaly. It won't stop me buying as I'm now a huge fan and in fact sing your praises on various groups that I'm a member of. I have in fact just put in another order and I'm in the process of working out what the next order will consist of. I think I'm an Abakhan addict. Kind regards, Robina

Great British Sewing Bee Series 3 - Episode 4

Claudia opens the sewing room doors once more as the seven remaining amateur sewers prepare to take on a set of tasks designed to test their ability to add shape and structure to clothing. The sewers try to keep track of the twelve pieces of fabric needed to make a boned corset, then it's back to the 80s to deconstruct a power suit Maggie Thatcher would have been proud of!

Finally they face the most demanding made-to-measure challenge yet, making a traditional kilt from scratch. This iconic garment requires precision and skilful pattern cutting. The sewers take Patrick back to his roots, but whose ode to the Highlands will impress him most?

Burnden Park Shop, Bolton

I just want to comment on one of the staff at your Burnden Park Shop, Bolton. I was in there today 21/02/2015. I was helped with my purchase by a young lady named Carly. She could not have been nicer. She is an absolute asset to your team and it is my belief that she should be recognised for her ability and knowledge, her expertise, her friendliness and her customer skills. Which are exemplary. Good yarn supplier who can deliver and with prices that are not extortionate

Very pleased with Abakhan. I am housebound but like to knit to occupy my time. Have struggled to find a good yarn supplier who can deliver and with prices that are not extortionate. Found Abakhan online, ordered yarn on Tues and it was delivered this am. Yarn colours fantastic and am looking forward to starting my next project. Thank you, Dawn.
