This is a follow-up course to the “Getting to Know Your Machine” workshop, for those who want to further develop their skills. Techniques taught include how to create several types of hems, buttonholes and different methods of using bias binding. A simple method of inserting zips leads on to creating a neat zipped bag by the end of the day. All the techniques can be used for both dressmaking and soft furnishing projects. All materials are included and hand-outs provided for future reference.

- Learned a lot
I learned so much in this class, despite not having been able to go on the First Steps course. I was afraid I'd be out of my depth but the class seemed to be of mixed abilities and Celia was very reassuring. She's a great teacher and has the patience of a saint. A very enjoyable day.
