Are you eager to try patchwork but are confused by the terminology? This is a workshop of multiple techniques, and a half day to practice lots of different skills that will set you up with the confidence to complete a patchwork quilt. You will be provided with a pattern to put your new skills into practice to create a beautiful quilt at home. We will be learning how to cut and how to sew with quilting tools, and will look at gadgets to make life easier. Or how about learning to make different shapes? We will practice shapes with cool names like quarter square triangle, flying geese, half quarter square triangles, covered squares, hidden squares and mitred corners. We will also look at ways to construct shapes faster and sew blocks with curves. We will have a look at different ways to finish a quilt with flange, double sided, and self-bindings with mitred and squared corners.
