This design was inspired by the repeated, jagged edged, diamonds found on woven rugs.

A flower motif sits at the centre of this design to echo floral embroidery.

The use of surface crochet slip stitches around the outside of the leaves enhances the idea of hand stitching and the flowers that sit on the edge of the blanket create an unusual border.
